IK began in April 1996, in a small town in northern Italy. Known as the sports car capital of the world, and also for its exquisite cuisine and balsamic vinegar, Modena’s unique combination of innovation and craftsmanship inspired IK Multimedia’s founders to set out to use technology to bring high-quality tools to musicians everywhere.

And for 25 years, we've stayed true to our goal of being and putting Musicians First. That means we only design and create products we would use ourselves, as musicians. This philosophy keeps us focused, makes us successful, and fuels our passion for what we do.

From a small software studio to the leader in mobile technology, IK has grown from just a handful of employees to over 100, with business units in 7 countries, including our Italian factory where we continue to honor Modena’s history of high-tech manufacturing and time-honored craftsmanship.

There’s been a progression to the products we’ve made over these 25 years: first beginning with software titles like T-RackS, SampleTank and AmpliTube; then adding iRig mobile interfaces, microphones and controllers; and more recently, iLoud studio monitors and UNO analog synths & drum machines.

So, drawing inspiration from this progression, here’s our game plan for a year-long celebration.

We’re kicking things off this April with a gift of 25 JamPoints to all registered IK users and a massive 25-day giveaway of our most popular music production software titles leading up to Total Studio 3 MAX.

During the summer, we’ll pick up the celebration with exciting updates and offers on our most popular iRig and iKlip products. And in the fall, we’ll wrap it all up in a final event celebrating all our newest gear, from studio monitors to synthesizers to new products you haven’t seen yet!

Along the way, we’ll be offering 25th-anniversary Krazy Deals and promotions throughout the year. Plus, some fun retrospectives and interviews with our designers, endorsers and partners from across our history.
