The Black Pearl B200 stands out as one of the more contemporary-sounding pianos in the Pianoverse collection. It’s based on a 7' Bösendorfer 214VC Vienna Concert grand piano, a model renowned for its balanced and rich sound. We fully captured its unique DNA, so once you start playing it, you won’t want to stop.
The Bösendorfer 214VC retains many features of the larger Bösendorfer Concert Grand 280VC but is more refined and better balanced. Due to its compact size, the 214VC has become the choice of many recording studios, music chambers and smaller venues worldwide.
Black Pearl B200 is unique, expanding Pianoverse with its own voice. More than just a piano, its inviting, not-overwhelming sound will pull you in and is an excellent tool for creative expression. It’s equally at home in classical and contemporary genres.
On this concert grand, we used DPA cardioid microphones for close miking and DPA Omni microphones for medium-distance with an A-B miking technique to record this spectacular piano at the legendary Fonoprint Studios in Bologna, Italy, within the walls of a 15th-century convent.
The Black Pearl B200 is an ideal platform for exploring the exciting soundscapes and cinematic effects found only in Pianoverse, promising a new sonic adventure every time.
